Is this an exfoliator?
Not in the traditional sense. It’s your daily cleanser.
Spring Awakening uses enzymes to help loosen dead surface buildup as you cleanse, providing gentle enzymatic exfoliation without abrasive particles, harsh scrubbing or strong exfoliating acids.

Why is it a powder?
The dry format is part of how the formula works. Enzymes can lose activity when stored in water over time, so keeping Spring Awakening water-free helps preserve the enzyme system until you’re ready to cleanse.

What are the three enzymes, and what do they do?
Spring Awakening contains Papain, Protease and Lipase, which work across two types of buildup.
Papain + Protease help loosen protein-based buildup and dead surface keratin that can contribute to dullness and rough texture.
Lipase helps break down excess sebum and oil-based buildup that can contribute to congestion.
Once loosened, three gentle amino-acid cleansers help wash the buildup away.

Is it a physical scrub?
No. Despite starting as a powder, Spring Awakening contains no abrasive exfoliating particles and isn’t designed to scrub or polish the skin.
Add water and the ultra-fine powder transforms into a soft, cushioning cream, allowing the enzymes to do the work without harsh friction.

Will it remove makeup?
Spring Awakening removes sunscreen, excess oil, light makeup and daily residue.
For lightweight, everyday makeup, it can be used on its own. For heavier or waterproof makeup, we recommend using it as the second step of a double cleanse after a cleansing balm or oil.

Do I need to double cleanse?
Not necessarily. Spring Awakening can replace your regular daily cleanser.
For sunscreen, light makeup and everyday buildup, use it on its own. If you’re wearing heavier or waterproof makeup, use an oil or balm cleanser first, followed by Spring Awakening.

Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
Spring Awakening was designed with sensitive skin in mind. There are no abrasive exfoliating particles or harsh scrubbing required. Add water and the ultra-fine powder transforms into a cushioning cream that rinses clean without leaving skin feeling tight or stripped.
If your skin is highly reactive, we recommend patch testing before use.

Either. Spring Awakening can be used once daily, morning or night, depending on your routine and your skin’s needs.
In the morning, it gently cleanses overnight oil and buildup. At night, it helps remove sunscreen, excess oil and the day’s impurities.

Can I use it with retinol, acids or other exfoliating products?
Spring Awakening is designed as a gentle daily cleanser, but because it also provides enzymatic exfoliation, we recommend adjusting frequency based on your skin and the other active products in your routine.
If you use retinoids, exfoliating acids or other resurfacing treatments and experience sensitivity, reduce frequency as needed.

How much should I use?
Shake the bottle 2-3 times into damp hands. Add a small amount of water and rub your hands together until the powder transforms into a soft, creamy foam.
Massage gently onto damp skin, then rinse thoroughly. No scrubbing required.

Does it foam?
Yes. Add water and Spring Awakening transforms into a soft, dense, low-friction foam-cream. Think cushion rather than a traditional bubbly lather.

Do I need to keep the powder dry?
Yes. Keep the bottle opening away from running water and avoid getting water inside.
Spring Awakening is designed to remain dry in the bottle until you activate it with water in your hands.

How long does one bottle last?
Each bottle lasts approximately 2½ to 3 months when used once daily as directed.
